This is the only place I’ve been able to find useful music for young musicians. The 1/2 grade music has actual musical elements that you can teach with and not just the same 5 notes at one dynamic in the same arrangement as every other composer. Quality music for students just starting.

I have been working with bands for more than 40 years and the majority of those years I have used resources from Jim Evans be it for hs band or beginning band as a former band director he knows how to meet the needs of nearly any band situation. I recommend his resources highly.

It offers a range of selections for full band ensembles, as well as smaller groups, allowing directors to tailor their selections to the specific needs, previews scores, immediate downloads, and optional accompaniments. We love it!

We restarted a band program in October with just 12 students (2 clar, 2 sax, 1 tpt, 2 bones, 5 perc)!
I wanted pieces that they could learn quickly, sound good on, and feel the success and joy from making cool music. These two pieces (IDK and IYKYK) checked ALL those boxes! Thank you SO much!!

Mr. Jim Evans’ arrangements are wonderful works for levels of musicians. I have used his music for Festivals, Concerts, as well as sight reading. His website and arrangements are very user friendly and the accompaniments are awesome. I would recommend this resource to all musicians.
